Childs’ Play is pleased to have Miss Keri Parkes teaching some super-fun, super-awesome classes for ages 0-3 years old. She is a living Super Nanny legend. For the last ten years, she has become a part of over 20 families in Seattle, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. She toured from 2007-2012 with Gymboree Play & Music, utilizing 10 years of musical theatre performance to bring imagination to life for 1000+ families nationally. Starting May 14, Miss Keri will be “edutaining” at the Childs’ Play Southwest location every Tutu Tuesday from 9:30-Noon. Musical Building Blocks
Using popular songs from Nursery Rhymes to 90′s Pop to current Top 40 hits, Miss Keri will dance & sing you through a variety of age appropriate (6mos-3 yrs), musically-charged activities, engaging your little ones’ natural rhythm, ability to follow directions and mimicry. Each week we’ll highlight a specific musical instrument including: Maracas, egg shakers, bells, drums and kazoos! Little ones enjoy an eclectic variety of instruments in the Music Basket we explore together every class.
Mary Poppins said it best,”in every job that must be done,there is an element of FUN”! This “mommy-and-me” class emphasizes counting, shape and color identification, parallel vs. cooperative play, and is great for little ones just learning to SHARE with peers! Using games and songs, Miss Keri will ignite your little ones skills of matching & memory, and inspire a “When we’re Helping, We’re Happy” attitude to bring home.

Thirsty Thursdays
As your week is winding down, does it seem like your toddler is just winding up? Do you need a padded room as much as they do? Let them workout their wiggles on Miss Keri‘s mats, wedge, balance beam & tunnel! Help them release frustrations and endorphins learning the fundamental skills required for following Sports:
Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Football, Hockey, Golf, Darts, Track & Field, Tumbling and Interpretive Dance (trust me, pop music is played during Baseball’s “Catch the Pop Fly” bouncy ball activity & suddenly, Interpretive Dancing happens).
******Thirsty Thursday mornings require visits to the Hydration Station between each heart-pounding activity, so make sure your little one has a full water bottle!
For ages 0-3, this Grownup & Tot class promotes early socialization, peer interaction, learning through observation, hand-eye coordination, balance, aim & depth perception, as well as sharing and good sportsmanship. At this stage in the game, lil athletes learn best by having FUN! Upbeat music, scarves, balls, bubbles, parachutes, stuffed animal friends, puppets and all sport equipment will be supplied.
